on the front page of the Los Angeles Flavorpill blog this article appears, which advertises Garage Comedy tonight. This is untrue, we are NOT doing a show tonight at El Cid however we will be broadcasting some BEST OF clips tonight at 9pm.
It’s strange how JT Priest of Flavorpill seems to have just gotten our press release, like a message in a bottle after two years. The information they have is at least that old. Here is their blog:
“Celebrate Christmas Eve with Garage Comedy’s outrageous mix of sketch comedy, vaudeville, film, music, performance art, and freak acts, followed by a relaxed afterparty. Organizers Val Myers and Kulap Vilaysack have cultivated their outrageous and over-the-top levity while on the road, and are now gracing Los Angeles with a wacky alternative to holiday cheer.”
– JT Priest
Although the strange part is that we have NEVER done a show on Christmas Eve or any other major holiday. So, JT Priest published this event without even checking with the current producers of Garage Comedy (Ryan Flynn and Val Myers).
Val Myers would like to say to JT Priest if he happens to read this, “I’ve been trying to attract Flavorpill’s attention for the last two years I appreciate the publicity, I just wish it was for a show that actually existed”
Flavorpill, please retract the event and pretty please advertise our next show which is Monday Jan 7th at El Cid.
Cheers!
Sorry to those who show up because of this mistake!! Because of the mess up we will be showing clips from Garage Comedy’s of the past. tune in tonight 9pm PST, here at garagecomedy.com/live
