Clips from Shitfest and Silent Heckler 2/25/08 UP!

Monday February 25th 2008 was one of our worst shows ever! Sheer chaos! There was a blackout drunk wandering around yelling, a stand-up comic had an emotional breakdown, a man raped another man in a bear suit and the show was way too long.. over two hours! The best thing about the night was Jazzed Cookies which sold out immediately! After the fall out from the show we are still asking ourselves what went wrong..

First off, we decided that The Silent Heckler is no more. We’ve tried a million times to make it work but it doesn’t. The comics hate it because it distracts the audience, the club hates it because it takes away seats for paying customers, the live audience thinks it’s too mean, and we feel as though it’s too much of a technical hassle to pull off. Therefor Monday night was the last time we will be doing Silent Heckler (at least for a long time).
Shitfest however, will remain our regular end-of-the-month show. It was a hit even though 2/25 wasn’t organized enough.
The last thing that we learned from the very painful experience on monday night was that GarageComedy.com The Show (Mondays 9pm PST) WILL NEVER AGAIN SUBJECT OUR AUDIENCES TO TRADITIONAL STAND-UP COMEDY! Sure you will see the occasional Erik Charles Neilsen, Matt Braunger, Dragon Boy Suede or Brody Stevens but we don’t consider them “traditional”.
here are the two unedited clips from the worst show ever, if you choose to subject yourself to it.

“Silent Heckler is no more…The comics hate it because it distracts the audience, the club hates it because it takes away seats for paying customers, the live audience thinks it’s too mean.”

The above descriptions are nearly word for word echoes of the reviews received by The Doors in 1966, the Sex Pistols in 1977 and Nirvana in 1988.

These are the EXACT results I had hoped for, and I consider my little social experiment a complete success.
